Diablo Immortal: What you can achieve with 600 million WoW gold

from Alexander Ney
Diablo Immortal’s monetization model is tearing holes in the coffers of even presidents and pop stars. But there are alternatives to real money, and so the currency of World of Warcraft can be invested in Diablo Immortal. A Reddit user has now tried how much you can achieve in Activision Blizzard’s money incinerator with 600 million WoW gold.

Almost everyone should have heard by now that Diablo Immortal can eat up tons of real money. If you want to completely upgrade your character, you have to have more than 100,000 US dollars ready due to the slasher’s gacha mechanics. Alternatively, however, Activision Blizzard’s WoW currency can also be invested in the latest Diablo. And that’s exactly what now has a Reddit users experimented. The “Daymeeuhn” in question wanted to know what he can achieve with 600 million WoW gold in Diablo Immortal. This sum corresponds to about 50,000 real dollars that Daymeeuhn made by selling codes from old loot cards from Blizzard events.

Legendary gems upgraded

As Daymeeuhn announced in the Reddit thread linked above, the horrendous investment allowed his Diablo character “Naecabon” to traverse 2,165 Elder Portals, get a Resonance of 7,000 points, and upgrade all Legendary Gems. Daymeeuhn also saw himself as responsible for Activision Blizzard temporarily not selling any more WoW tokens. However, that was not the declared goal of the campaign: “There’s no real reason for this other than to make fun of it. If you see me fighting money whales in battlegrounds, you should know that I’m attacking them with World of Warcraft currency as my main funding source.” wrote Daymeeuhn.

Meanwhile, many Diablo Immortal players are waiting to the first update. Community Lead Adam Fletcher promised this for the next few weeks and emphasized a focus on the Battle Pass. However, Activision Blizzard also has additional story and gameplay content for Hack ‘n Slash in the pipeline. However, Fletcher did not reveal when the innovations can be expected.
