My absolute favorite Mafia is only available today for €15.99 in the PS Sale for PS4

Tommy may look different in the remake, but luckily he hasn't changed that much otherwise.

Let’s not kid ourselves: the summer slump is here and new major releases are still a long way off, with a few exceptions. All the more reason why I’m currently digging through the sales in order to dust off one or the other tidbit that I’ve had to put on the back burner so far, or to make up for it. I stumbled across a special offer that I don’t want to withhold from you: the Mafia Definitive Edition.

The mafia remake par excellence is now 60 percent cheaper

The PlayStation Store is currently offering savings and half-year offers. But what should also not be ignored are the weekend offers, which bring us decent discounts – if we are fast enough.

The Mafia Definitive Edition is still available there for a few hours. Instead of 39.99 euros you pay only 15.99 euros in the PS Store, i.e. 60 percent less. So if, for example, you don’t have to go to the cinema and snacks, you can get a really good and interactive gangster story here for the money, which you can hear loudly How long to beat well entertained between ten and 25 hours – I put my hand in the fire for that.

Hurry up because the offer won’t last long! Strictly speaking, it is valid until tomorrow, June 28th at 00:59 German time. So you can get the mafia remake at a reduced price in the PS Store for only a few hours.

Annika Bavendiek

When the remake of the original Mafia from 2002 came out in 2020 with the Definitive Edition, Annika was initially cautious. She never thought that her beloved mafia would score with her in a remake, especially since the characters look so different. As it turned out, however, the worries were more than unfounded and now recommends the remake to anyone who has anything left for good and shady mafia stories.

This is Mafia: Definitive Edition

Welcome to Lost Heaven, the city where mafia families fight.

  • Genre: Action Adventure
  • Modes: single player
  • release: 09/25/2020

What is mafia about? Whether in the original or in the remake: In Mafia we slip into the role of Tommy Angelo, who lives in the fictional city of Lost Heaven (Illinois, USA) in the 1930s and just barely makes ends meet as a taxi driver. When he bumps into Paulie and Sam one day during his shift, his life changes abruptly. He finds himself in the middle of the power struggle between the Salieri and Morello mafia families, which develops into an exciting action thriller about loyalty, love and intrigue.

A remake as it is in the book

Not infrequently, remakes do not come close to their originals, which is mainly due to the nostalgic feelings and the outdated concept of the games, which cannot easily be transferred to the present day in a fun way. For me, the mafia remake still managed to shine despite the grandiose role model.

What is so successful about the mafia remake? The Definitive Edition knows the strengths and weaknesses of the original and tackles the right places. Means, for example, that we can again enjoy a great soundtrack while driving through the now much busier open world. And even if Tommy, Paulie, Sam & Co. don’t look like modern clones of their originals, the characters still work thanks to their believability and development. In addition, there are intense firefights, many small details and cinematic cutscenes that enhance the great staging and the 1930s flair.
