Persona 5 Royal is one of the parts of the series that will be released for the Nintendo Switch.

The Persona series is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. Apparently, that’s reason enough for the creators to jump beyond the PlayStation platform limits. Because in the future there will also be implementations of a total of three series parts for Nintendo Switch. This was announced as part of the Nintendo Direct Mini.

The implementations consist of the following three parts:

Release of the switch implementations: So far, only the release of Persona 5 Royal is known. This should take place on October 21, 2022. The other parts only said “coming soon”, so they will probably appear after Persona 5 is released, probably in 2023.

Also for Xbox: Persona will also be released for the Microsoft consoles. This was announced a few weeks ago during the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase, where the titles mentioned above also appear in Game Pass directly at the respective launch. This ends the years of Sony exclusivity for the series, which was previously only available on PlayStation systems.

Persona 3 Portable

As the name suggests, this port of Persona 3 was originally released for the PlayStation Portable. Basically, you slip into the role of a young protagonist who is supposed to clarify the occult processes in his school. Central and decisive for this is the so-called Dark Hour, which is ruled by shadow creatures. What makes Persona 3 so special is the balancing act between the main character’s everyday school life and his private life.

Persona 4 Gold

The JRPG Persona 4 was originally released for the PlayStation 2 in 2008. You slip into the school uniform of a nameless teenager who ends up in the small Japanese town of Inaba as part of a student exchange. But events take a turn for the worse shortly after arrival: a mysterious series of murders shakes the residents of the otherwise sleepy town. The Golden variant, which is also available on the switch, contains a number of new contents and improvements
