All chapters of Tell Me Why, the adventure about the twins Tyler and Aly, are currently available for free on Steam. But if you want to take advantage of the offer, you’ll have to hurry. It is only valid for June, more precisely, until July 1st at 9 a.m. We’ll tell you what makes this game special.

This is what awaits you in Tell Me Why

It’s all about this: Tell Me Why was developed by DONTNOD, the team behind Life is Strange, and plays very similarly. The focus is on an emotional story, which also has a mysterious component. You solve puzzles and have a choice of dialogue options that have minor and major impact on the story. There is also a supernatural ability that you can use from time to time.

The history: Tell Me Why takes you to scenic Alaska, where you take turns playing twins Tyler and Aly. For the two young adults there is a reunion after a long time, where they have to face a difficult task together: They want to sell the house they grew up in and that stirs up a lot of memories.

Many of these are painful as their childhood was marked by some troubles. The whole thing even culminated in a big drama that both of them haven’t really processed yet. In addition, as a trans person in the small village, Tyler has to deal with embarrassing conversations and open hostilities. Our task is to find out what really happened back then and to set the course for the future of the twins and their relationship.

Supernatural Connection: What is particularly exciting is that Tyler and Aly not only have very different personalities, but also often have conflicting memories of the past. We must therefore use their supernatural connection to unravel the mysteries of their shared history.
