There is a lot of evidence that Pokémon Crimson and Crimson will be a mix of the old parts of the series and some innovations from Pokémon Legends: Arceus. On the one hand we have a large open world (even if Arceus is divided into areas) and more direct action possibilities with the game world.

On the other hand, the new generation will most likely return to the classic catch mechanism and will have shops and Poke Centers again. Another feature that looks set to return will definitely be welcomed by most fans.

The top 4 should make your life difficult again

It’s all about this: Pokémon insider Riddler Khu keeps revealing details about new offshoots of the franchise. Since the clues are packed in puzzles, the leaks are not always very clear. The latest tweet (played by SoulSilver Art) but clearly points to the return of one of the most popular features of the Pokémon series: The top 4 are said to be back in the game.

These are the top 4: The top 4 are the top trainers in a region and must be defeated in order to compete against the champion. Just like Gym Leaders, the top 4 builds on a Pokémon type. Accordingly, you can adapt well to their pocket monsters, even if they have a very high level and potions are used. In order to be allowed to compete against the elite, all arena medals must first be collected. The supposed leak could also mean the return of the classic arenas.

When will we have updates on Crimson and Crimson? Nintendo won’t be holding a big Treehouse Direct this year, and the company won’t be at gamescom 2022 either. Instead, Big N keeps throwing in smaller direct streams, some of which focus on individual titles. Such a dedicated show is also likely for Pokémon Crimson and Crimson, but it may still be a few months away.

Pokémon Crimson and Crimson will be released on November 18, 2022 for the Nintendo Switch.
