Will the new Return to Monkey Island be exclusive to Switch?

In the last millennium, to be more precise 1991the second part of Monkey Island. A absolute classic for the time, who still has many fans. All the more reason to look forward to the new offshoot of the series: Return to Monkey Island.

Of the new trailers shows significantly more of the game than before and suggests that the game might be for now only for the Nintendo Switch is published.

On the June 28th Nintendo Direct Showcase the new trailer for the brand new offshoot of the “Monkey Island” series shows some new details from the game.

We get a nice glimpse of the game’s new graphics, which some have criticized so much, and we even will showed a few gameplay scenes.

What is Return to Monkey Island about? It’s about the pirate known from previous “Monkey Island” games Guybrush Threepwoodwho that Mystery of Monkey Island wants to have discovered. Within the game, the story of his adventure is told.

What is the adventure? Threepwood sums it up nicely:

“I know stories of ships and fights, of love, treasure, betrayal and root beer. How about one that has all of that in it?”

When exactly Guybrush Threepwood’s story is to be expected remains open. But the trailer confirms: We definitely will Returning to Monkey Island later this year!

Will Return to Monkey Island be released exclusively for Nintendo Switch?

That the trailer for the new “Monkey Island” has only been on the Nintendo Direct Showcase was shown could suggest that the game as Exclusive titles for the Nintendo Switch will appear.

But that doesn’t seem to be a problem so far, because the reactions in the comments to the trailer consistently positive.

Many still remember that graphic style that takes getting used to which doesn’t seem to stop most fans from looking forward to the game anyway.
