Fractal Design Pop: New airflow and silent cases in medium, large and small

from Norman Wittkopf
PC case manufacturer Fractal Design has presented the Pop series, a new series of models for different requirements in six variants.

With the new pop cases from Fractal Design, you can choose between airflow with a mesh front and lid or silent with insulation and side air inlets. In addition to a standard size, there is also a mini and an XL model from Mini-ITX and mATX to E-ATX with different equipment options and installation sizes to choose from.

According to their design, the Pop Air models should stand out with their special cooling performance and also come with a choice of different color variants with a colorful interior and color accents on the outside, while the Silent models are trimmed for reduced operating noise and minimalist design. The models are fundamentally similar.

Inside, the cases offer a two-chamber design, with the power supply and drive bays being concealed, while there is a choice of a closed side panel or a side panel made of tempered glass. In addition, the Air models also have an RGB version with illuminated fans to choose from.

All models also have a compartment with a magnetic cover in the front, which according to the press release can either be used to store “small gadgets” or to install up to two 5.25-inch optical drives. With the I/O panel on the top, there are two USB 3.0 (USB 3.2 Gen 1) and two audio ports on all models, while USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C is offered as a separate accessory.
