Lost Ark: Fans love the June update and shower Amazon with praise - "This is great"

Lost Ark’s June Update hit the western version servers on June 30th, and it caused a lot of cheers even before it was released. The patch notes came the night before and flooded the reddit with a great atmosphere. We at MeinMMO summarize.

What is this update? Every month there is a major update in our version of Lost Ark. While the May patch scored with new bosses and a new class, the June update has comparatively less content.

Nevertheless, it offers some new content. This is how another Legion Raid comes into play, a new tower for solo players and an event where you can dance on a party island. However, unlike the previous monthly updates, the June patch is missing a new class.

We have summarized what exactly came into play with the update on June 30th in a separate article guides you.

It is also surprising that the monthly update is two weeks late, because it was actually announced for the middle of the month. This caused a bad mood among the fans in the run-up, but that has now fundamentally changed.

Korea also gets a new update, but with a brand new class:

What goes down particularly well? The mood in the Lost Ark community is currently at an all-time high. The changes brought about by the update are being received really well, which is largely not even due to the new content. The focus of the euphoria is much more on some bug fixes and “Quality of Life” adjustments.

Among other things, bots will continue to be banned and actively hindered in the game. In the future, you may have to solve a CAPTCHA when entering a new zone. This is intended to further stop the automated characters in Arkesia after over 600,000 of them have already been banned.

Also fixed a bug that was causing the crystal aura title to reorder on every single login. So you had to click on it to make the notification go away. This bug has been in the game since launch in February and fans are rejoicing that it’s finally gone.

Even a supposedly small change makes for great joy. You can now set the largest of the damage numbers yourself. This used to cause problems, especially with 4K monitors, as many felt the numbers were too small. The annoying cursor bug that plagued the game for weeks has finally been fixed.

In general, the atmosphere in the forum and on reddit is very good. There are always some negative voices, but personally we haven’t experienced the mood of the community as positively since the launch.

“It makes perfect sense and is absolutely brilliant.”

The smaller highlights: Several threads on reddit and in the forum receive many upvotes that just want to thank Amazon and celebrate the new changes. Also, the fact that Yozs Krug apparently prevailed against Smilegate rekindles hope for the publisher for many.

The changes to the weekly reset in the game also received special praise. So far, this has taken place on a Thursday, but from now on a new week will always begin on a Wednesday.

This is especially important because many events in Lost Ark only take place on certain days of the week and Wednesday has been dubbed the “dead day” by some because hardly anything happens there. With this change, Amazon is doing pure fan service.

What are the fans saying? As usual, we would like to give you an excerpt of the user comments here so that you can form your own opinion (via reddit):

  • Vezko writes: “The biggest and probably most important change is the weekly reset on Wednesday. It makes perfect sense and is absolutely brilliant because nothing happens on a Wednesday.”
  • AlgernonMar says, “I’m really hyped that I can now change the size of the damage numbers. It’s way too small on a 4K screen, I could never make out anything.”
  • ItWasUncalledFor writes, “Holy shit, this is the best Quality of Life update since launch. Even bigger than Vykas”
  • maximaLz is less positive: “I think many people don’t even notice how little effect CAPTCHAs will really have on bots. This will bother normal players much more, but at least they dare to use aggressive measures against bots.”

What do you think of the June update? What change are you most excited about? Or is there maybe even something that you find completely stupid? Write it to us in the comments here on MeinMMO.
