Sea of ​​Stars: Release only in 2023

The retro role-playing game Sea of ​​Stars will not be released until 2023. This was announced by the developers of Sabotage Studios on Twitter. You want to keep the quality of life just as high as the quality of the game. The original release date was 2022.

A classic role-playing game

Funded via Kickstarter in 2020, Sea of ​​Stars is set in the same world as the studio’s previous game, The Messenger. In terms of play, it is based on classic pixel role-playing games from the SNES era, including a turn-based combat system. Classics like Chrono Trigger, Phantasy Star or Final Fantasy are the inspiration here.

Sea of ​​Stars is a prequel to the 2D action-adventure The Messenger and tells the story of two children of the solar eclipse who must use the power of the moon and the sun in equal measure in order to overcome the Fleshmancer’s evil monsters.

Sea of ​​Stars relies on an incredibly charming pixel backdrop that is explored from an iso perspective. The role-playing game will be released in 2023 for PC, PS4, Switch and Xbox One.
