The game XIII Remake, which was heavily criticized at the time of publication, will soon receive a major update including multiplayer.

The publisher Microids has announced a major update of XIII-Remake (original from 2003). The original version of the remake was released in November 2020.

At that time there were devastating reviews from the trade press and players: With a metascore of 32 points, it was the second worst video game of the year in 2020. Numerous bugs, technical problems and the outdated gameplay were primarily criticized.

The update is scheduled to be released on September 13, 2022 for the Xbox One. The entire game is to be fundamentally revised, including improvements in performance.

The core of the update will be the Online multiplayer mode for up to 13 players.

Responsibility for the update was given to the Tower Five studio, which has already worked successfully for Microids in the past.

XIII is a stealth action game in which the amnesiac protagonist is accused by the FBI of shooting the US President. On the run, he uncovers a conspiracy and tries to prevent it.
