On our own behalf: PCGH PCs are being paused – PCGH Advisor PCs as an alternative [Werbung]

The PCGH PCs, which are built and sold by Alternate according to the specifications of the PCGH editorial team, have been around since 2008. After two years of Corona and the uncertainty of many consumers (inflation, Ukraine, etc.), many customers are currently reluctant to buy complete PCs. Alternate mass-produces PCGH PCs and stocks them for immediate delivery until a customer orders the gaming PC. A configurability of the PCs is not possible with the PCGH PCs and customers can e.g. B. Do not select a larger SSD or more memory. When new hardware comes onto the market, such stocks quickly become obsolete and, in the worst case, the PCs then have to be dismantled. As such, PCGH and Alternate have decided to pause PCGH PCs and plan to resume in the fall.

The alternative: configurable gaming PCs from Dubaro

So that you don’t lose track of how PCGH would put together gaming PCs in certain price ranges, we have already created useful PC configurations in different price ranges on our advice portal in 2020. These suggestions serve as inspiration to build your own gaming PC with the components or the PC presented can be ordered directly from our partner Dubaro. As with Alternate, PCGH receives a small affiliate commission for every Dubaro configuration we create when purchased through a customer. In contrast to the alternate PCs, these PCs can still be configured before ordering, so they are no longer real PCGH PCs. From the case to the graphics card, you can change all components here according to your wishes. We are convinced that our Dubaro models are up-to-date, because even the best PCGH PC configuration does not hit every nerve, since individual wishes can be very different. For example, we still used an HDD for data storage in the fixed Alternate PCGH PC configurations, but what about customers who only want an SSD in their PC? In addition, we can react flexibly to market conditions with the PCGH Advisor PCs and, unlike with the PCGH PCs, we do not have to sell off any stock. Over the past few weeks, we’ve tweaked configurations on Dubaro’s PCGH Advisor PCs several times after graphics card prices have taken a nosedive.
