Pokémon GO will be six years old in 2022 – and developer Niantic wants to celebrate that properly. Therefore, a special birthday event is taking place in the game, during which various shiny encounters and special bonuses are waiting for you. But Team Rocket is also involved again…

Niantic’s mobile app, Pokémon GO, reached primary school age this year and is celebrating its sixth birthday. To mark this anniversary appropriately, Niantic is hosting a special event week with an anniversary celebration. The focus is on the Pokémon that has the number 006 in the Pokédex, namely Charizard. In addition, Team Rocket also gets an appearance again.
