Happy Birthday to you! Pokémon Go is a proud 6 years old! Dress up and even put a cake hat on your head with new Avatar items in snazzy white! There are also celebratory Pokémon stickers to attach to presents when sending presents to your friends!

The Pokemon Charizard, which has the number 6 in the PokéDex, is Charizard and accordingly the birthday revolves around that Pokémon. Its mega forms appear in mega raids, in addition all stages of development wear a party hat and can also be caught in their dazzling variant! Pokemon Go: Battle Weekend

The Battle Weekend will run from Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 00:00 local time to Sunday, July 10, 2022 at 23:59 local time. The battle weekend revolves around Team GO Rocket, now Giovanni has grabbed the legendary Pokémon Latios! Bring out your strongest Pokémon and free Crypto-Latios from Team GO Rocket! Do you need help to defeat the bosses Sierra, Arlo and Cliff or can’t you take on Giovanni? Then jump into our counter guides, which we will of course update in due course.

There will also be new special research on Giovanni. Upon completing the quests, you will receive a Super Rocket Radar that you can use to track down the Team GO Rocket Boss. Note that you will NOT receive this special research if you haven’t completed any of the previous Team Go Rocket Special Research. The new Special Research can be picked up until September 1st, 2022 at 10am local time.

Active bonuses during the event period:

  • Team GO Rocket balloons appear every three hours
  • In the GO Battle League, you can complete up to 20 Battle Sets each day
  • Winning battles gives you 4 times the amount of Stardust as a reward
  • You can use a Charged TM to make a Shadow Pokémon forget the Charged Attack Frustration

It is important to remember that Shadow Pokémon are stronger than other Pokémon, and a good counter-team for raids consists of Shadow Pokémon! If you want to add strong Shadow Pokémon to your team as attackers, you should definitely get a few Charged TMs out of your trainer’s bag on these days and let selected Shadow Pokémon forget the Frustration attack!
