2001 was a good year for anyone with a PS2, enough money and maybe even parental permission (depending on their age) to gamble.

What did you actually do in 2001? do you remember? If you were the proud owner of a PS2, you probably played quite a lot at the end of the year. A picture reminds us of everything that appeared for the platform in the fall 21 years ago – and that’s really impressive.

All-around blow: It’s not just a matter of many great games of caliber, it’s also striking that there’s actually something for every taste: the action-packed Devil May Cry, the mysterious ICO, Final Fantasy 10 as a role-playing hit, with Gran Turismo 3 for the racing game fans and with Silent Hill 2 a horror game that is still one of the best representatives of the genre. In the comments, users praise individual titles. Ace Combat 4 in particular brings back positive memories for ThePhysco_P_Ma. Camo_boy67 just remarks in general terms:

Of course, being an adult doesn’t automatically mean being able to afford a lot of games. Many players still have to watch their money very carefully. Which of these titles did you play and were you free to gamble or did you still have to abide by your parents’ restrictions?
