Director Sam Raimi has in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness housed some elements typical of the filmmaker’s projects. One of those scenes wanted Marvel boss Kevin Feige didn’t actually see it in Doctor Strange 2 – but after a short conversation, Sam Raimi was allowed to keep the moment in the film. In detail, it is about an intensive staring competition between Doctor Strange and Baron Mordo – a nod to the westerns “The Quick and the Dead”.

Kevin Feige found the scene a bit too cheesy

Commenting on the film, Sam Raimi said: “I think Kevin thought that might be a little cheesy and didn’t want it in there. I said, ‘Please Kevin, let me have that.’ He’s like, ‘Okay, fine. Do your cheesy stuff.’ It was really, really nice of him.” Still, some things didn’t make it into the final version of the MCU film. This included a clearly somber one Post-credit scene with Doctor Strange.
