Elden Ring fans slice Malenia as easily as a pizza with this trick

What does Malenia, the toughest boss in Elden Ring, have in common with a pizza? Answer: Both can be cut up fairly easily with a pizza cutter. Sounds like a pretty bad joke, but it’s actually true, at least when you’re teaming up against the boss.

Malenia against three pizza cutters

It’s all about this: Redditor Explicitguana shows a clip that should be balm for the souls of everyone who has been badly beaten by Malenia. You can see the first phase of the boss, in which she barely manages to move at all, while her life points just like that fall in a red rain into the depths.

How is that possible? Explicitguana isn’t fighting alone, but has brought two allies with her. All three wield the same weapon: the “Pizza Cutter”. No, that’s not the real name of the weapon, of course, but that’s what most fans call it because of its looks. The real name is Ghiza’s Wheel and a very similar weapon was also found in Bloodborne.

If all three players saw Malenia together with the pizza cutter, she would be so stunned that she could no longer move. The tomato sauce squirts… uh, the blood.

You can watch the whole thing for yourself here:

The video is really well received on Reddit, probably because many players had their hard time with Malenia and like to follow this revenge action, but of course also because the clip just looks funny. For example, Erikbw states:

At this point you just make pesto out of it.

Whatistheancient, on the other hand, notes:

Don’t use a pizza cutter to make tomato sauce! But seriously: What happened in the second phase? The kick?

More on Elden Ring:

Explicitguana answers the question somewhat evasively by pointing out that this recording is from the time when Malenia had the bug where she healed after each attack and points out that the users can imagine how it went is. PineappleLemur concludes:

Clearly: Everyone died with the biggest “sh*** on your bike” or we would have seen it.

Nevertheless, the course of the first phase, in which Malenia likes to drain life from players with her spin attack and pack a lot onto her own bar, is quite impressive. By the way, you get the weapon as a reward for defeating Inquisitor Ghiza in Villa Vulkan. You can find him by taking the stairs near Tanith. However, you shouldn’t expect too much. The weapon is not always as effective as shown in the video with this specific co-op tactic.

How do you like this demonstration? Have you ever used Ghiza’s Wheel in combat?
