WoW: Players just can’t beat the bosses, so there are mega nerfs

WoW Jailer to baby title title 1280x720

World of Warcraft puts the Nerf club on the current raid. This time there are really big changes – up to 20% less health.

The Mausoleum of the First raid proved to be one of the toughest raids of all time in World of Warcraft. This was true not only for the mythic variant in the World First race, but also for the heroic and even the normal version. Even after more than 25 different nerfs, the bosses are still too hard for many players. That’s why Blizzard is now improving and swinging the nerf club – and harder than ever before in this raid.

What will be changed? To say “a whole lot” would be a gross understatement. The last 4 bosses in the mausoleum will be massively weakened, life points will be reduced by up to 20% and many skills will be much more forgiving in the future and allow mistakes without the whole boss fight failing.

The changes in detail are:

  • anduin
    • Anduin’s Hope and Anduin’s Doubt have 20% less Health on Heroic and Normal difficulty.
    • Anduin’s Hope movement speed has been reduced by 15% on Normal and Heroic difficulties.
    • Grim Fate now only increases Haste by 150%, down from 200% on Mythic difficulty.
  • Lords of Terror
    • Health reduced by 10% on all difficulties.
    • Swarm of Decay and Swarm of Darkness deal 15% less damage on Heroic Difficulty.
  • Rygelon
    • Health reduced by 10% on all difficulties.
    • Dark Eruption damage reduced by 75% on Heroic Difficulty.

    • Azerite Radiation now increases damage by 7% per stack (up from 3% per stack).

    • Surging Azerite deals 15% less damage on Mythic difficulty.
    • Surging Azerite heals Azeroth for 5% per tick (up from 4%).

    • Dominating Will absorbs 15% less healing on Heroic and Mythic difficulties.
    • Chain Breaker deals 20% less damage on Heroic Difficulty.

Why is Blizzard doing this? The reason for this isn’t that Blizzard just wants to do something good for the heroes and further “casualize” everything, as is often heard. Blizzard simply found that significantly fewer players were able to successfully master the current raid. in the official WoW forum That’s why Community Manager Linxy said a few days ago:

We’re working on additional adjustments, with a focus on the final battles in the mausoleum. We know that currently far fewer guilds are capable of the “Peerleader” achievement [„Cutting Edge“] than previous raid tiers, and we plan to address that in the coming weeks before Season 3 ends.

Exactly these mentioned changes will now go live and should ensure that the active raid groups can still dust off one or the other success before the current 3rd season is replaced by the 4th season at the beginning of August.

When will the changes go live? All the nerfs will go live with the next maintenance work, i.e. next Wednesday, July 6, 2022. If you still want to be able to brag that you managed the current bosses “before the biggest nerf”, you should hurry – because they time is running out.

What do you think of these changes? Is WoW “again” too easy? Or is it good to adjust the bosses if far fewer raid groups have been able to master them than planned?
