Diablo Immortal also shows where the hammer hangs with the latest raid boss. At the highest level of difficulty, it is characterized by an almost absurdly high recommended combat rating. That is 3465 and should be almost unattainable for the vast majority of players. Even if they are willing to invest immense sums of money in Diablo Immortal’s Pay2Win shop.

Diablo Immortal completely overdoes it on raid boss difficulty

Diablo Immortal does not rest: One scandal follows the next in the story of Diablo Immortal. After the announcement and the realization of how strongly the in game shop is geared towards Pay2Win microtransactions, another excitement follows that annoys the remaining players. This is mainly because he simply takes all the problems to the extreme.

What is this about exactly? The newest raid boss, called Vitaath, can be played in three different difficulty levels, which yield different rewards accordingly. The first level comes with a recommended combat rating of 2,000 and for the second level players should already have 2,450 CR.

For number three, however, becomes one Combat rating of 3,465 recommended. Which is not only an extreme jump, but also simply absurdly high in general. Accordingly, the voices of angry fans, who are at 1,800 CR or 1,350 CR and say of themselves that they play a lot, are piling up on Reddit and Co. They all agree that the recommended rating is “ridiculous”.

That implies of course, that only those who have invested a lot of money and time in Diablo Immortal have a chance to make the highest difficulty. No wonder the web is joking that it’s time to take out the second and third mortgages on the game:

For comparison: With the previous or first raid boss Lassal, the CR recommendations were at the level of 420 to 1650 CR. It should also be exciting to see whether the fifth raid boss is already somewhere above 10,000 CR as the recommended combat rating and whether there are really enough people who are willing to spend so much money on this game.

The problem with the whole thing seems to be mainly that Blizzard and NetEase can easily afford to do so. Apparently, their success proves them right: It was recently announced that Diablo Immortal has been downloaded more than 10 million times and has brought the company a whopping 49 million US dollars in sales so far.

What do you think? Where is your combat rating?
