Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power – new teaser trailer released
The series will start on September 2, 2022 The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power at Amazon Prime Video. After us in the past weeks and months already a few pics were served, there was one a few days ago new trailer. This was initially only reserved for Prime customers, but is now publicly.
However, this is just one Preview of a longer trailerwhich will be released on July 14, 2022.
The focus of the short but exciting sneak peek is a cometthat falls from the sky. Hobbits, dwarves, humans, elves – all inhabitants of Middle-earth pursue this menacing spectacle with suspicion.
Exactly what this is all about and what happens as a result is explained in the minute video Not shown. Perhaps the one announced for this week will reveal longer trailers a bit more. By September at the latest but we are definitely smarter.
What is The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power about?
The action takes place in the Second Age of Middle-earth and thus several thousand years before the events of the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Filming The Hobbit.
On the one hand, this serves as a template for the series Silmarillionon the other hand the Prologue to the Lord of the Rings novelsuch as Notes by JRR Tolkienpublished posthumously by his son.
These templates tell of Forging the One Ring through Sauronwhose defeat at the Battle of Mount Doom and how the Ring of Power finally in the possession Isildurs (ancestor of Aragorn) arrived. Furthermore, (in the Silmarillion) from Rise and Fall of Númenors told.
