Nexon’s massive RPG shooter launches now on Steam – This is The First Descendant

This fall, Nexon Games’ upcoming RPG shooter The First Descendant will be in testing on Steam. The developer studio provides information about what sci-fi is about and what gameplay elements we can expect.

What kind of game will The First Descendant be? The First Descedant was previously known by publisher Nexon’s working title Project Magnum. In the meantime, however, the correct name has been published and the game test phase has begun.

So the game is on Steam described:

• The player takes on the role of a Descendant (in German: descendant), who has specific abilities and can be modified via skins.
• The game promises a lot of action and exciting fights.
• You have to work as a team and fight against huge boss monsters.
• Above all is the fight against an invasion to preserve humanity. In addition, the “Ingris continent” must be protected.
• In the end it’s all about unraveling the secret of the Descendants.
• The game is developed in Unreal Engine 5 and looks like a nicer Outriders.

The First Descendant will be a free2play game with a sci-fi look. It is a third-person shooter and RPG with co-op elements.

What do you know about the characters? There will be a variety of different characters, each with their own fighting style. Several elements are planned, such as skins, with which the player can further customize his character. These elements are meant to change the character cosmetically.

What does Nexon say about the fights? The player has a certain freedom in choosing a fighting style in the fights due to the different abilities of the characters. In addition, the gameplay is enriched by items such as grappling hooks or firearms.

How are the boss monster fights designed? Huge boss monsters can be fought in co-op gameplay with a total of 4 players. The enemies will appear in different levels of difficulty and can be defeated by targeting weak points.

How can the game character be improved? A game character can be equipped with 3 weapons and 4 secondary items. There are also several sub-weapons in the equipment.

There will be items to improve the character himself and his abilities. The weapons can also be leveled up and individual components of the equipment can be combined with one another.

Such items for improvement can be acquired in the so-called “scenario missions” within the game. These items can also be found in the “World Missions”, which focus on team gameplay.

How can I register as a game tester? Players can sign up for beta testing via the Steam page. The test phase will last from September 28, 2022 until probably October. The exact period will be published later.

When will the game come out? So far there is no exact date when The First Descendant will be released. On Steam it just says Coming Soon.
