WoW: Sorcerers with anima bonuses rampage through Mythic Plus dungeons
Although Torghast never lived up to the expectations the developers had for the feature, there are still some fans who like to visit the endless tower. The reason should primarily have a name: Anima bonuses! These massive bonuses make your hero an unstoppable fighting machine throughout the Torghast run. Hardly any player has not dreamed of how powerful they would be if the bonuses were not only limited to the tower, but also in the dungeons and raids of WoW Shadowlands. A sorcerer was allowed to experience how that feels. He became so powerful that in the end he had to switch to a spec.
The Birth of the Uber Demon
The player in question, a demonology warlock, experienced multiple disconnects during the end of the Torghast run, which arguably messed up Blizzard’s systems enough that he was ultimately allowed to keep some of his anima bonuses. While the bonuses affecting himself were removed as usual, his Felguard kept his buffs due to a bug. Including massive boost like Pact of robustness and a stacked one pact of infernal nearness.

In the end, the demon had 440,000 life points and was responsible for more than half of the witcher’s damage at 12,000 DpS – in a Mythic Plus dungeon! As funny as the bug was at first, the user (cc4s2b9x) knew that he probably shouldn’t be walking around with it for long. After all, players have already been banned for less beneficial bugs.
Bonuses that cannot be removed
However, it turned out to be a difficult task to exorcise the demon’s buffs again. Whether logging out, dying, sending away and summoning again, reskilling or renaming – nothing helped. Even another visit to Torghast, where the player deliberately ignored the bonuses in question, didn’t help. In order to avoid the danger of a ban, the player ultimately had no choice but to change the spec and run around as a demolition sorcerer instead of as a demo.
In the end, the solution came about in a roundabout way in the form of a tip. the glyph’Wrathguard‘, which turns the Felguard into a Wrathguard, brought the solution. Thanks to the new form, the buffs were now inactive. However, this is not a permanent solution. Because as soon as the glyph is removed, the buffs are back and the devil guard rampages through the area again.
Of course, the player has already written a ticket, but the Blizzard employees have not been able to help him yet. It would certainly not be wrong to address the error as soon as possible. After all, the player in question might want to play as a demo with Felguard again in the future without constantly having to worry about being banned.
