Absolute mega hits – July games known for Extra and Premium

There are new games in the PS Plus Extra and Premium games catalogue. In July 2022, fans can look forward to Stray, Final Fantasy 7 Integrade and much more.

San Mateo – In mid-June, Sony changed its previous PS Plus subscription and added two new tiers. In addition to the previous subscription model, which is now called PS Plus Essential, there is now also PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium. While subscribers at the Extra level get a games catalog with more than 400 PS4 and PS5 games, Premium subscribers have access to games from the PS1, PS2 and PS3 generation. Now the first new games for the two subscription levels are known. Fans will get these games in July 2022 in the PS Plus Extra and Premium subscription.

These games are coming to PS Plus Extra: A few days ago, a leak for eight PS Plus games appeared, which now seems to come true – at least in part. As PlayStation, based in San Mateo, announced on its in-house blog on July 13, there will be 15 new games for PS Plus Extra. This includes all eight games from the leak. Cat fans in particular should be particularly happy. Third-person cat adventure Stray will be available for free at launch. These 15 games will be added to PS Plus Extra in July 2022:

Anyone who has subscribed to PS Plus Premium naturally also has access to all games from the PS Plus Extra games catalogue. In addition, there are also new games for the most expensive subscription level in July 2022.

New games for PS Plus Premium: What distinguishes PS Plus Premium from Extra is, on the one hand, the classic catalogue, which makes games from older PlayStation generations available. There you can find fan favorites like Jak & Dexter, God of War III Remastered or Devil May Cry 4. The following two games will now be added to this classic catalog in July 2022:

In addition, PS Plus Premium subscribers can test Rollerdrome free of charge for the release. The premium subscription also includes selected test versions, such as the demo for Horizon Forbidden West, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands or Biomutant.

PS Plus: Extra and Premium Games in July 2022 – When will the games be available?

Then the games are available: The new games for PS Plus Extra and Premium will be available from July 19, 2022. However, it is not known how long these titles will then remain available in the respective catalogue. PlayStation, based in San Mateo, will probably keep the games in the library for several months and only remove them from the game catalogs again after some time. In contrast to the Essential subscription, you can no longer play the games after they have been removed from the catalog – even if you have downloaded and installed them.
