Big Streamer Challenges Twitch - Throws forbidden words to provoke a ban

Twitch streamer Asmongold is known for being outspoken and always speaking his mind out loud. He was accordingly carefree when he dropped the words “virgin”, “simp” and “incel”. He wanted to see if Twitch was really taking action.

Who is Asmongold?

Asmongold takes the test: do you get banned for simp, incel and virgin?

What do the words even mean?

  • simp: In short, a simp is a man who would do anything for a streamer and gives her tons of attention. This happens through messages, donations or other support. Full details can be found in our article: Twitch is deleting emotes for “Simp” – What is a Simp anyway?
  • Incel: Incels is a culture of heterosexual men who involuntarily do not have sex, but believe that sex is their right. The word originated from the terms “involuntary” (involuntary) and “celibate” (single / bachelor).
  • Virgin: That’s the English word for virgin. However, it is often used to accuse people of “not getting a partner”.

Why are they banned on Twitch? The words were mostly used on Twitch to denounce and insult certain user groups. At some point, this became too colorful for the platform and decided to take action in the form of a block as soon as chatters or streamers put the words into their mouths.

What was the streamer doing? Asmongold stated that he was not aware of the ban on these words and was surprised. At the same time, he challenged Twitch:

I think people who are upset about hot tub streams are Virgins. I think people who have level 3 subscriptions with them are simps. And I think the people who are commenting on this and getting upset with what I’m saying about hot tub streams right now are incels.

I think we’ll see if I get banned tomorrow, right?

Asmongold

He’s testing that to see if that rule really exists. Asmongold says: If he doesn’t get banned, this policy doesn’t exist. He couldn’t believe that the words are no longer allowed to be used.

In addition, hundreds of users would have to be blocked because they were also spamming Incel, Simp and Virgin into the chat.
