The new F1 Manager 2022 episode of the behind-the-scenes series brings this year’s grid to life and gives players a peek behind the helmet visor.

Frontier Developments plc today releases the second behind the scenes video of F1 Manager 2022, the big new officially licensed F1 management simulation game. F1 Manager 2022 will be released on August 30th (August 25th for pre-orders*) for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and on PC for Steam and the Epic Games Store.

In “Episode 2 – People Power” David Braben, CEO and Founder of Frontier, and Matt Dickinson, Art Director, talk about the work of Frontier. In the video they explain, among other things, how F1 Manager 2022 manages to offer players a truly authentic Formula 1 experience.

In the game, the budding Team Principals take responsibility for their chosen F1 Constructor for the 2022 season and create their ultimate driver pairing, choosing from the full roster of F1, F2™ and F3 drivers for 2022.

In exclusive footage, players can get a glimpse into the detailed process of registering drivers for the game. The video shows two Frontier face scan sessions recorded by Williams Racing driver Alexander Albon and Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN driver Zhou Guanyu.

An impressive 200 camera lenses work to create complex 3D facial models that bring every driver in the game to life in stunning detail. Each driver also has a data profile, created using a wealth of real-world historical data points, to accurately reflect their behavior and driving style.

This commitment to realism runs throughout F1 Manager 2022. Working closely with Formula 1, the development team was able to access an extensive archive of historical data and broadcast footage to create a realistic simulation experience. Future Team Principals will be able to use authentic data to make their decisions and react to realistic tire wear, changing weather conditions, and safety car and red flag incidents.

Players should always keep an ear to their team radio for future behind-the-scenes content and other F1 Manager 2022 news ahead of launch.

F1 Manager 2022 will be available on August 30 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at a suggested retail price of €54.99. Players who want to stay ahead of the competition can pre-order the game digitally and experience F1 Manager 2022 five days early, starting August 25. The game will also be available in physical format for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at a suggested retail price of €54.99.
