Sonic Origins: Sega is listening and planning a patch that should fix many issues

Sega’s Sonic Origins Collection was released in June and so far the player experience has been mixed. Many issues have angered fans and prompted negative reviews. Now Sega is working on a solution.

If even a modder stops work, action must be taken

The studio has heard fans’ requests and has assigned a team to work on a patch. Taking to Twitter, Sega of America Social Media Manager Katie Chrzanowski announced the happy news.

“Hey! Thanks for being patient! The team has been listening and are currently working to fix a number of issues. We will make sure to issue an official communication once we have more information for everyone.”

More on Sonic Origins:

Just earlier this week, a modder creating content for Sonic Origins announced that he would not be writing another line of code for Sega’s Sonic collection. In his opinion, Sonic Origins has potential, but it’s overpriced, drowning in bugs and the DRM is annoying. He even called the game “absolute shit” before calming down and releasing a more forgiving statement.

What are your experiences with the Sonic bundle? Do you think the implementation was successful or can you understand the frustration of the modder? Write it to us in the comments.
