WoW Dragonflight: Cute! The first duck models from the alpha
As the developers themselves have said, the technology is finally ready for ducks to find their place in WoW. The first models of the cute water birds can be found in the game files.
There is a distinctive fauna in WoW, but ducks have not yet made it into the game. There are some NPC quotes that mention ducks and you can also purchase a suitable float for fishing. The community rightly asked the question: Why are there no ducks in WoW?
Blizzard developers seem to have held back the waterfowl for the upcoming Dragonflight expansion for a very specific reason. Because did you know that male ducks are called “Drakes” in English? Dragonflight, dragons, drakes … did the developers really wait 20 years for this opportunity? The Dataminers from Wow (buy now ) head discovered the first models of ducks in the Dragonflight game files, which look super cute, especially as pets.
Big ducks in WoW Dragonflight
Two models of ducks that are not pets have been discovered so far. As you could already see in the Dragonflight trailer, there will be even more versions. Most likely, hunters will get the opportunity to tame ducks. However, the two models shown here are not (or not yet) declared as tameable.

Duck pets in WoW Dragonflight
Of course there will also be some cute baby ducks as pets. Several of these can already be found in the game files. One of the duck pets is even mechanical.

The big prize question is whether there will also be duck mounts. In the Alpha, we currently don’t see any duck mounts in the mount collection. However, we are sure that the developers will not miss this opportunity and players will also get the opportunity to waddle around with their riding duck.
