Marauders: Hardcore looter shooter coming to PC in closed beta

from Michael Miskulin
The hardcore looter shooter Marauders in development is getting a closed beta next week. Those who pre-order the game can participate in the beta period between July 20th and July 25th, 2022.

Marauders is a hardcore looter shooter in development by Team17 and Small Impact Games with a rarely seen setting and concept. In a nutshell, it’s a PvPvE shooter set in the 90’s of an alternate timeline where World War I never ended, but instead took place in outer space. Now the developers have announced a closed beta for PC.

Planned for Steam Early Access: What is the first-person MP shooter Marauders about?

Team17 and Small Impact Games have announced that a closed PC beta test for all pre-orders of the upcoming looter shooter Marauders will take place between July 20th and 25th, 2022. At the beginning of the year, an alpha test took place which, according to the developer, was successful. Players can now look forward to a lot of new content: There is now the “Terraformer”, a newly abandoned agricultural facility built on an asteroid, and the “Merchant Ship”, a merchant frigate that can be boarded and turned perfect for close and long-range firefights.

There will also be two new firearms in the beta: the Heavy Thompson and Klobb submachine guns, and the Scrap Bomb, a heavy hand grenade made from scrap metal. Other quality improvements include a faster looting option, collapsible bags for inventory economy, new choices in cosmetic upgrades and audio effects, and more. Those interested in participating in the closed beta can pre-order the game now to also enjoy a 10 percent discount off the title’s purchase price. Marauders will be available in Steam Early Access and Game Preview via PC Game Pass later this year.
