Sudocats is exactly the cat content I wasn’t looking for but needed

What you happen to find when browsing through new releases in Nintendo’s “Downloads of the Week” on a Thursday. A game I didn’t have on my list, nor was I convinced I really needed it. But hey, they’re cats! And there is basically nothing wrong with Sudoku. Combine both and you get Sudocats. A sudoku game that effectively does nothing more than swap the numbers for cats and wants to give you some knowledge on top of that.

Just don’t expect a huge game from it, it only costs 2.99 euros in the Nintendo Switch eShop. But: I have no regrets about having spent this money. On the one hand because they’re damn cats! On the other hand, because some Sudoku puzzles can’t hurt, as long as the heat doesn’t break your head. For the few euros you get six sudokus in size 4×4, nine in 6×6 and twelve in 9×9. There are also a total of twelve bonus levels (four 6×6, eight 9×9).

Of course, more would always have been good, but at the price I don’t want to complain too much. Sudocats enables relaxed puzzles with cute, drawn cat pictures and those who are familiar with Sudoku will not face any major obstacles. Plus you’ll learn something else. Which is especially helpful if you want to bring multiple cats together. The more puzzles you solve, the more information (in English) about cat acclimatization steps you unlock. So puzzle and educational game at the same time. Nice to have, especially for some light work on a hot day, and cat content is always a hit!
