There have been rumors about a Lego set for the Atari 2600 in the past, and now Lego has officially announced it.

The Atari 2600 set will be released on August 1, 2022, celebrating Atari’s 50th anniversary.

A faithful replica

According to Lego, it is a faithful recreation of the 1980 console model with four switches.

The set includes a movable controller with joystick and a slide-out front that hides gaming scenes from the 80s. There is also a switch that allows you to switch between color or black and white television.

More Lego news:

“A special highlight of the set are the video game cassettes in Lego format: the popular games Asteroids, Adventure and Centipede can be stored in a case and built into mini versions of the games,” it says.

As mentioned, the set will be available in Lego stores and in the Online shop by lego.

It consists of a total of 2,532 parts, is 22 cm long, 8 cm high and 33 cm wide. The price is 239.99 euros.
