Do you like ASMR? Then this game should be the absolute ultimate for you. But if you’re more likely to flee when you hear ASMR tones, then that probably won’t convince you either. Because this absolute niche product relies entirely on the particularly intense noises. So there should be a lot of them, but at the same time we should also run a restaurant. So far, the whole thing is simply called ASMR Food Experience and is still in a very early stage of development.

ASMR game lets you manage a restaurant and soothe with soundscape

ASMR Food Experience sees itself as Restaurant simulator. That means you have to take orders, keep the shop clean, prepare food and take care of a herb garden, for example. According to the press release, we can also determine how our restaurant should be furnished and decorated. The main focus, however, is obviously on the audiovisual stimulation.

The trailer – and of course the title of the game – makes that very clear. If you want to give yourself the full drone right away, you should Put on headset or headphones and then take a look at this video. You may find that the sounds trigger something special in you when you hear the fish sizzling in the pan or the water hitting the ice cubes.

But bewareit doesn’t necessarily have to be something positive.

What is ASMR? ASMR stands for “Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response” and describes a feeling that is supposed to occur when hearing certain sounds. For some people, the tingly, relaxed, and soothing feeling seems to spread from the head all over the body. For others, the tones designed for this trigger rather deterrent reactions and they find it unpleasant.

When and where is it coming? So far, the only option is to add the ASMR Food Experience to your wish list on Steam. So if you have a Steam deck, you can expect to enjoy the ASMR title at some point. Unfortunately, it remains unclear at the moment whether a version for PS5 or Xbox is also planned. There is no planned release date yet. However, it will probably be a while before the ASMR Food Experience appears, as it is apparently still in a very early phase of development.
