Destiny 2: Everything you need to know about the new armor from the Solstice Event 2022 – How to make it shine

In 2022, the solstice event and armor refinement in Destiny 2 will work differently than usual. We will therefore show you everything you need to know about the new armor, how to make it glow and what else you should know about the event.

What’s new about Armor 2022? At the Solstice, players will no longer receive a shoddy armor set that needs to be upgraded like in previous years.

Anyone who visits Eva Levante on the tower will be greeted with a legendary armor set appropriate to the class. The well-known tasks that were once written on the suits of armor no longer exist either. Players must instead go resource hunting to make their new armor glow.

The event pass is intended to support players and ensure that they have a more detailed overview of the tasks they have to do for the glowing armor.

However, the principle of refinement is not always easy to understand. That’s why we show you how you can make your new armor glow and activate the glow.

How to make Solstice Armor 2022 glow

How do I make my armor glow? In order to make your armor glow, you need an important material for the refinement and it is called: fuel.

This material is required to infuse your armor with Glowing Embers. You can only get the fuel through the event pass that Bungie has newly introduced.

In order to gain access to the Event Pass tasks, you must have progressed in Eva Levante’s new quest, “Solstice Celebration”. You will then be shown tasks that you have to do in Strikes, the Crucible or on Patrols.

In order to upgrade your armor, you need to socket a lot of fuel into your armor. The armor now has three levels for this, in that the number of materials to be used also increases:

• Level 1 – 1 fuel
• Level 2 – 2 fuel
• Level 3 – 3 fuel

The third and final refinement then gives the armor a distinctive and unique white shimmer.

Can I disassemble my armor without worry? If you have made your armor glow, you can disassemble it afterwards without hesitation. The glow is then permanently present on all armor pieces that you have upgraded to the maximum level.

And if you accidentally dismantled a piece of armor while upgrading, you can repurchase it from Eva Levante during the event for a few materials.

How can I get good stats on my armor now? In order to get a chance for good armor rolls, you should upgrade them to the maximum level. This gives you the ability to focus your armor roll and target stats like Resilience or Recovery.

However, you can only do this if you have previously carried out two focusings on the piece of armor. Only then do you get the option to focus specifically and maybe get the maximum out of it.
