Fans are solemnly burying old Assassin's Creed multiplayer with final sessions

Assassin’s Creed 3, Brotherhood and Revelations have multiplayer? That’s right, there was something – and there are still fans who enjoy them; but not for long. Later this year, the online servers for these parts will be shut down. Before that, however, the community wants to really kick ass.

Last farewell sessions planned

It’s all about this: A big farewell is currently being planned in the Assassin’s Creed subreddit. That means fans want to get together at set times over six weekends to repopulate the servers as much as possible and play some fun final sessions.

Did you feel like throwing yourself into the fray again? User FarlandsDesign has already set up a detailed plan.

These are the games and weekends when the sessions are scheduled to take place:

  • Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood: July 23rd and 24th, July 29th and 30th
  • Assassin’s Creed: Revelations: August 5th and 6th, August 12th and 13th
  • Assassin’s Creed 3: August 19th and 20th, August 26th and 27th
  • Server Shutdown: September 1

Mainly for PC, but basically also for console players: However, Xbox 360 and PS3 will probably not be as busy as the sessions are mainly aimed at PC gamers. The Reddit post only says that you can also try it on the consoles.

More from the Assassin’s Creed universe:

Not too many comments can be found under the post yet, but some fans are already expressing interest and announcing that they will definitely be there or regret the server shutdown. By the way, there are also exact times to be found in the Reddit article, which you should definitely pay attention to if you are interested.

Have you played the multiplayer of the three Assassin’s Creed offshoots? Did you like them so much that you feel like seeing them again one last time, or do you think the series doesn’t need it at all?
