Valve warns: Your Steam Deck isn’t good at heat!
If you are currently planning, with the Steamdeck few hours during the current heat wave to gamble, manufacturers warn you valves before some problems that might arise. Accordingly, the handheld seems the high temperatures not so easy to tolerate. in one tweet states that the Steam Deck is ideally placed between 0 and 35 degrees works fine. If these values are exceeded or fallen short of, difficulties can arise that have a direct impact on performance.
What will happen to the Steam Deck?
Valve states that the performance of the hardware is throttled when the temperature is too high. Up to 100 degrees can handle the APU and AMD inside the Steam Deck. If the Limit of 105 degrees reached, the handheld turns off automatically to prevent damage to the hardware. So find a cooler place within your own four walls and don’t use the Steam Deck in public when the thermometer reaches these temperatures.
Take care of your other devices too
Of course, the Steam Deck isn’t the only product you should watch the weather for. Laptops, PCs, smartphones and many other electronic things could also have some difficulties at these temperatures. Below we have included the tweet from Valve again for you.
