Apple’s Godzilla series: Kurt Russell and son Wyatt Russel are in it

There is now more news about the new MonsterVerse series from Legendary Pictures and Apple Studios. It was recently announced that Kurt Russell joined the cast of the series. Next to him will also be his son Wyatt Russell appear in the Apple TV+ series Godzilla and the Titans.

Kurt Russell and son become part of the Apple MonsterVerse

Kurt Russell returns to television after a long absence. The actor’s last TV appearance was in the 1977 original series Hawaii Five-0. He will soon return to home screens in Apple’s live-action monster series.

In the series that on AppleTV+ is aired and is part of the Monsterverse franchise from Legendary Pictures, he is also owned by his son Wyatt Russell to be accompanied. Wyatt Russel is currently starring in the true crime miniseries Under the Banner of Heaven, opposite Spider-Man actor Andrew Garfield.

The roles of the two Russell actors have not yet been announced. The two will star alongside Anna Sawai, Ren Watabe, Kiersey Clemons, Joe Tippett and Elisa Lasowski.

WandaVision’s Matthew Shakman will direct the first two episodes. Showrunners will also be Chris Black (“Mad Men”) and comic book writer Matt Fraction (“Hawkeye”). Also involved in the implementation are the producers Hiro Matsuoka and Takemasa Arita from the Japanese film studio Toho.

What is the new Godzilla series about?

The new “Godzilla” series picks up from the first “Godzilla” film from 2014. Following the battle between Godzilla and the titans that leveled San Francisco, the as yet untitled series will explore one family’s journey as they uncover their hidden secrets and a legacy they share with the as monarch known secret organization.

Additionally, the series includes not only the 2014 Godzilla film. Also included in the MonsterVerse are 2017’s Kong: Skull Island, 2019’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and 2021’s Godzilla vs. Kong, as well as the Anime series “Skull Island”.
