Capcom: The Great Ace Attorney is making a comeback – but as a perfume

Capcom (Unternehmen) von Capcom

Capcom brings back the popular legal adventures, but in an unusual form: as a perfume collection inspired by characters from The Great Ace Attorney.

If you’ve always wanted to smell like a real criminal defense lawyer from the turn of the century, Capcom’s Cologne will come in handy. With two new sets, each containing two different scents, we can smell as of today how the developers must have imagined their characters from The Great Ace Attorney series.

Capcom’s The Great Ace Attorney Perfume: How the Fragrances Should Smell

Anyone who thinks Capcom’s perfume smells like a musty courtroom is wrong. At least if you trust the information provided by the manufacturer, who describes his unusual product line in an extremely creative way.

The four fragrances, each named after one of the characters from the Ace Attorney adventures, read as follows:

  • Ryunosuke Naruhodo: citrus, gardenia, leather, ylang ylang, cinnamon
  • Kazuma Asogi: Cassis, Lavender, Black Pepper, Amber
  • Herlock Sholmes: Spirit, Leaf Green, Floral, Amber
  • Barok van Zieks: sandalwood, cedarwood, musk, vetiver, leather

Partner shop Parco, where we can also order the perfume online in addition to the official Capcom Store, goes into more detail: “The faintly scented leather creates an intellectual atmosphere, and the passionate ylang-ylang [ein duftend blühender Baum, Anm. d. Red.] as well as the cinnamon let you feel the passion of ambition,” says one of the bottles. “It is a fragrance that makes you feel the enlightenment of Naruhodo Ryunosuke”.

In addition to the distribution of The Great Ace Attorney perfume via the online shops, the fragrances will only be available for purchase in the official Capcom stores in Tokyo and Osaka. Each set (Kazuma and Ryuunosuke as well as Herlock and Barok) costs 6,620 Japanese yen, which is the equivalent of just over 30 euros. It is the second fragrance collection that the game developer is releasing, after the one inspired by the modern Ace Attorney parts.
