Destiny 2: New showcase could offer insights into Lightfall
The story of Destiny 2 is slowly coming to a head. At the end of The Witch Queen, the shooter’s latest expansion, players got their first glimpse of The Witness, which will play a pretty important role in the future. Not much more is known about the character just yet, but it looks like that could change soon.
Finally first information about Lightfall?
Developer studio Bungie announced a new showcase for Destiny 2, which will take place on August 23 of this year. The announcement was accompanied by a short teaser video that summarizes what has happened so far. Additionally, Bungie writes “Witness what’s next,” which is supposed to point to the mysterious figure The Witness.
The next expansion, Lightfall, which, together with The Final Shape, is intended to mark the end of the previous storyline about light and darkness, will probably revolve around that very character. It is therefore quite likely that players will finally get a first glimpse of the upcoming expansion in the new showcase.
Very little is known about Lightfall and The Witness is still a very mysterious character. So many fans of the shooter are certainly quite interested in finding out what plans The Witness is pursuing and what exactly the new expansion will be about. With a bit of luck we’ll get answers to all these questions on August 23rd.
