Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster: Shipped almost 21 million times along with originals

Together with the originals, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster has shipped nearly 21 million copies worldwide.

Square Enix has announced that all games in the Final Fantasy X series, which includes Final Fantasy X and X-2, as well as the HD remaster versions of the two classic role-playing games, have collectively shipped 20.8 million units .

The Japanese company announced in October 2013 that a total of 14 million Final Fantasy X games had been sold. Since Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster was released at a later date, it can be assumed that the two remaster versions make up the remaining 6.8 million units.

In addition, Square Enix announced its plans for the 35th anniversary of the Final Fantasy series in spring 2023. A Kabuki-style Final Fantasy play will be staged in Tokyo to commemorate the occasion.
