Game of Thrones: George RR Martin berates “f****** toxic internet”
The release of the Game of Thrones spin-off series House of the Dragon is imminent. But some fans are still struggling with the end of the template and are still angry. Creator George RR Martin has expressed disapproval of fans’ hatred in the past. In an interview, Martin has again found quite clear words about what he thinks of the shitstorm from back then. It is also now known that the Game of Thrones books will have a different ending than the series.

The finale of the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones sparked a huge Shitstorm like the internet had seldom seen before. An interview by The Holywood Reporterthat this is not the case.
The creator of the series George RR Martin find clear words and don’t think that the negative feedback from back then will affect the new series House of the Dragon: “The f****** toxic internet and these podcasts everyone saying season 8 made such a bad impression ‘oh I’ll never watch that again’ I don’t believe them anymore.”
“Twitter is not real life”
Other HBO officials find much more diplomatic words than Martin. The longtime HBO executive Casey Bloys also remembers the angry fans very well, but also does not believe in any serious damage to the franchise. “It was a social media backlash. I think in many areas of our society we need to remember that Twitter is not real life”so Bloys about the Shitstorm.
“We knew the decision [in Staffel 8] will split and of course we want all fans to be happy but that will never happen. There weren’t many people walking around feeling disappointed or angry.
