Hell Pie: Birthday in Hell is celebrated

Fresh out of the oven, Hell Pie takes bad taste to the next level on consoles and PC.

Headup and Sluggerfly’s obscene 3D platformer Hell Pie is available now for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4|5 and PC, priced at $24.99. The Nintendo Switch version will launch in the next few weeks.

This old-school-inspired platformer takes bad taste to the next level in an adventure filled with wacky environments, obnoxious characters, and fun claw-based platforms.

In Hell Pie you take on the role of Nate, the “demon of bad taste”. Your task is to collect the disgusting ingredients for Satan’s infamous birthday cake. Venture into the overworld and do whatever it takes to get the ingredients on time, otherwise all hell will break loose!

Thankfully, Nate is not alone on this quest as his angel “pet” Nugget is ready and able to assist him. Nugget offers his holy insight when needed, but is most importantly chained to Nate so he can be used as a grappling hook or swung around as a weapon.

Nate can also equip horns, which he finds around the world, to give him new infernal abilities, from piercing enemies and boulders to gliding through the air.

Together, Nate and Nugget explore wild environments, encounter tons of unsavory enemies and characters, and witness some truly shocking sights in this seriously twisted take on the classic mascot platformer.
