One Piece: After a long break, the manga storyline absolutely blows our minds!
The last few weeks haven’t been easy for One-Piece fans – after all, there was one of the very, very rare pauses in the manga where no weekly chapter has appeared. The last time there was something like this was during the manga’s big time jump, in which two years had passed! Nothing like that happened in the manga, but the story of One Piece really gets going. This is proven by the freshly published chapter 1054 of One Piece, in which there have been many moving developments. We summarize them for you!

One Piece: What happened in the important chapter after the break?
- The mighty Navy Admiral Green Bull in action: While it was first seen in the previous article, Chapter 1054 makes it clear just how strong this pirate opponent is. He has the wood-wood fruit and accordingly can become a huge tree, sprout vines, manifest tree fists and drain the life energy of his opponents. On top of that, we also learn more about Green Bull’s character. He clearly believes in the supremacy of world government and world aristocrats. The kingdom of Vano has no human rights without the influence of the world government. Green Bull also believes that domination is human nature – someone has to be oppressed for the world to thrive.
- The samurai oppose him: Side by side, Yamato, Momo in dragon form and his samurai fight against the tree-man who wants to fight his way to Luffy. He is clearly surprised by Yamato’s origins as the son of Kaido and Momo’s dragon form. However, it seems they stand little chance against the Admiral. A fan even captured one of the brilliant moments in color (but still with a fan translation):
- Shanks and the One Piece: At the same time, Shanks and his crew are sailing past Wano. But the captain (and Usopp’s father) are still against seeing Straw Hat Pirates again. They should rather devote themselves to their territories, in which Straw Hat fan Barto has spread. And more importantly, Shanks tells his trusty right hand, Benn Beckman, to get the One Piece!
- Sabo and the Revolutionary Army: But what actually became of the Reverie arc? After all, he brought so many characters back together – the royal family of fish people, Vivi from Alabasta, CP0 agent Lucci, world aristocrats & Co! The newspaper reveals crazy developments:
- Luffy’s brother Sabo is said to have killed Alabasta’s king Cobra.
- Princess Vivi is considered missing.
- The once powerful cyborg Bartholomew Kuma has been freed from his slavery.
- As a declaration of war in the living quarters of the world aristocrats, in the heart of the Holy Land of the Gods, the revolutionaries “Hoof of the Celestial Dragons” burned, a symbol of world aristocrats.
- Eight nations are said to have started a revolt against the world government. Rebellion is increasingly finding fertile ground.
- Sabo is celebrated by people from all over the world and is said to be even more popular than Dragon, the leader of the revolutionary army. They now call him “Flame Emperor” thanks to his Fire Devil Fruit, which he inherited from his brother Ace. Accordingly, both Luffy and Sabo are now known as “Emperors”. After defeating Kaido, the Straw Hat Captain now has one of the posts as the Four Emperors of the pirate world.
A One-Piece fan practically gets dizzy reading it. Manga creator Oda definitely laid the groundwork for the final big stories of One Piece here. How did you like the chapter?
