San Francisco – Pokémon GO is hosting a new Community Day in August 2022. This time, Galar-Zigzachs and its nasty further development Barrikadax are the focus of attention as a Pokémon. The special day lures you with a brand new attack, chic cosmetics that really rock and of course other bonuses. We’ll tell you what you need to know about the interesting Shiny and all important times of the Community Day in August with Galar Zigzachs.

Pokémon GO: Community Day August 2022 – all information about the event with Galar Zigzachs

When is Community Day in August 2022? Pokémon Go holds what is known as Community Day every month. In August 2022, a special monster is the focus for a few hours on this one day and there are rewarding bonuses. Galar-Zigzachs will be part of Community Day on August 12th, 2022! These are the important times for Community Day:

• date: Saturday 13 August 2022
• time: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (local time)

What bonuses are there? So that you can play Community Day diligently on August 13, developer Niantic is bringing additional rewards and bonuses. Most of the add-on content is only active from 11am to 2pm on Saturday, which is exactly the time when Galar Zigzachs appear more frequently. However, selected bonuses last a few hours longer, so you can focus on them longer (these bonuses are marked with the corresponding time).

What about shiny Galar Zigzags? The Shiny variant of Galar Zigzachs is not new, but has been available in Pokémon Go since May 2021 – but the variant is really rare. The otherwise black and white monster then becomes really flashy neon blue and pink. That may not suit everyone’s taste, but it underlines Barrikadax’s punk rocker identity. The chances of Shiny Monsters in Pokémon GO are extremely increased for Community Day. So you can easily increase the collection with the otherwise rare monsters.

Even though it’s been over a year, shiny Galar Zigzachs are really rare. In 2022, the badger will be the 23rd rarest Shiny in Pokémon Go. Here’s what the color differences look like:

Exclusive move for Galarian Zigzags at Community Day August 2022 – That’s how strong Blocker is

This is the new move for Barrikadax: During Community Day on August 13, you can earn Galarian Zigzachs barricadex evolve to learn such an event-exclusive move: Obstruct. You have until 7 p.m. to learn and develop, which is 5 hours after Community Day.

• Blocker is a Dark-type Charged Attack
• 15 damage in trainer battles
• Blocker is guaranteed to increase your own defense and lower your opponent’s defense
• 20 damage in Arena and Raid battles

So far, many trainers have used Barrikadax’s Dark-type attack, Night Slash – which has only one chance to boost Attack. The guaranteed boost of the new attack Blocker should be strong, especially in PvP, especially in combination with the 100% debuff. In PvE, however, the damage is very small. However, in combination with the fast attack Counter to gain energy quickly, Barrikadax should be a real option in the GO battle leagues.

Limited Communoty Day research with Galar Zigzachs

This free reward is: Even without buying the research that costs one euro, the August Community Day brings limited research for everyone free of charge. The content is not yet known exactly. But Niantic has already revealed that you should catch 100 Galar Zigzachs.

As a reward, there are event cosmetics to match the day around Barrikadax and Zigzachs. So if you’ve always wanted to dress up as a punk barricadex, you can do so with these cosmetics:

• After the event, these items will also be available in the shop.

Tips for August Community Day with Galarian Zigzags in Pokémon GO

How to prepare: With Community Day in August 2022 bringing a rare Shiny and a new move, make some preparations ahead of time to catch as many Galar Zigzachs as possible. Community Day only on the one Saturday and most of the bonuses are only valid for 3 hours. So save a few hundred balls for the event to get off to a flying start.

If you want to get the event-exclusive move, you need a total of 125 candies to evolve into Hydreigon (25 to evolve into Galarian Straight Badger and 100 to evolve into Barrikadax). Also, have a Lure Module and a smoke handy if you plan on not walking that much. With the additional catch candies, you should fill up your supplies quickly.
