High School Update – Release, start time and content at a glance

The Sims 4 is getting a big high school update! We tell you everything you need to know about the new expansion pack.

Redwood City, California – Since “The Sims 4” was released in September 2014, publisher EA has given the successful life simulation a lot of updates and expansion packs. Now comes the next major expansion pack, The Sims 4: High School Years. The paid expansion pack appears for the PC version of Sims 4, as well as for Xbox and PlayStation. The Sims 4 High School Update – Everything you need to know

When is the new expansion pack playable? Directly tomorrow, on Thursday, July 28th, the new expansion pack will be released. In Germany, however, it can only be played from 7 p.m. A preload is also not possible. The expansion pack costs around €40 on all platforms and will be released at the same time. You should plan about 18 GB of free storage space on your hard drive for the update.

What does the expansion pack include? As the name suggests, the expansion makes it possible to finally send your Sims to high school. In addition to new locations, objects and characters, there are of course a lot of small improvements. We have summarized the most important changes for you here:

• The completely new game world “Copperdale” including an interactive amusement park
• A school building that you can rebuild at will
• School activities and lessons in high school
• A complete school day with different events takes place every day
• There will be teachers for your Sims to interact with
• School teams your Sims can join, extracurricular activities (football teams, cheeleading)
• A prom that you can design yourself
• Sims can now hit puberty where they will develop dislikes and likes, sneaking out at night and going on dates.
• Your Sims can now also become influencers or streamers, it will be possible to design and sell your own fashion styles
• In the world of the Sims there will be a separate social network called “Social Bunny”.

Free updates for everyone: Even if you don’t own one of the paid addons or want to buy the high school expansion pack, there’s still reason to be happy. In the run-up, on July 26th, EA already published an update which, in addition to various bug fixes, also brought some tangible changes into play. In addition to body hair, a selection for your Sims’ sexual orientation, you can now also draw circular walls in build mode. In addition, desires and fears from past games are now returning to Sims 4.
