Home Cinema Podcast 40: San Diego Comic-Con 2022 – Tops & Flops!
More topics than ever: In episode Numero 40 (yay, another anniversary!) we’re celebrating extensively with an extra long and big nerd episode for the San Diego Comic-Con 2022, which could finally take place live and on site again! The event, founded in 1970 and attended by only 300 people at the time, is now one of the largest nerd events in the world. As before Corona, the SDCC is making countless announcements and highlights from the coming years of the film and series world to the public. The release list from Marvel Studios alone is overwhelming enough.
Among other things, comic fans can look forward to the Fantastic Four, Blade and even two new Avengers films: Avengers: Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. For one of the two films there is even a person for the director’s chair. We have exciting information and discuss about the many Disney Plus shows and movies that are planned in phases 5 and 6 of the MCU. In addition, of course, we also chat about the officially released trailers (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, I am Groot, etc.) and unofficially shown ones (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol and 3, Ant-Man 3).
But there are also announcements, trailers and updates from DC Comics, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, The Lord of the Rings, The Sandman, Eragon and many other franchises. Finally, Maci and Chris also chat about Disney’s laziness and three different Pinocchio projects that are similar and different at the same time – and present funny parallels in their trailers.
