MultiVersus jumps into the top 10 on Steam with 150,000 players

The open beta of MultiVersus has started. The game does a 100 meter dash and does the 10 seconds. On Valve’s distribution platform Steam the title is going through the roof.

Today (as of July 28, 2022) “MultiVersus” peaked at over 150,000 concurrent players. Only six other games had a bigger peak today. This means that the title jumps into the top 10 most played titles on Steam today.

The PC community seems to be very enthusiastic about the game. But what do you say? Have you played the free 2 play fighting game yet?

What is MultiVersus about?

MultiVersus is a real one Allstars Brawler. Warner Bros. Games and Player First Games bring popular brands like Lord of the Rings, DC, game of Thrones or Looney Toones together and they leave numerous heroes just like in Super Smash Bros. compete against each other.

Of course you fight known locations of the individual franchises. The gameplay sets the Focus on 2v2 combat and combat moves can be dynamically adjusted. So one character can be matched to another and that results in cool combo moves.

There are 2v2 battles, 1v1 rounds, and even free-for-all and co-op matches are included.

“MultiVersus” is now available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and the personal computer available. If your friends play on a different platform, you can via cross play play with them.
