No arena teams, improved UI
Shortly after the official announcement of WotLK Classic, the Blizzard developers announced that there would no longer be permanent arena teams. So you can register for Ranked Arena matches with any character on your server that belongs to your faction. Through victories and defeats, only your personal rating is adjusted, since there is of course no longer a team rating.
The information that the developers want to modify the user interface of TBC Classic for arena fights in detail is new. The main thing is to provide you with more details about your current “standing” at a glance, i.e. which bracket you are listed for, what rating and rank you have (highlighted by colored banners and symbols) and whether you are currently at belongs to the top players of the server.
Arena Points and Season Rewards
As in Burning Crusade Classic, after each week you will be awarded arena points based on your rating and participation. You must play at least 10 Ranked Arena matches to qualify for the Arena Points payout. Additional rewards await you at the end of each season, with Blizzard defining the following seasonal reward thresholds:
- Rank 1: At the end of the PvP season, you are in the top 0.1 percent of all arena participants.
- Gladiator: At the end of the PvP season, you are among the top 0.5 percent of all arena participants.
