Roguelikes have always exerted their very own charm on me. I love the pixelated look of most titles, as well as a decent dose of action and a fairly designed challenge. Scourge Bringer excels in all of these disciplines. The gloomy aesthetics fascinated me from the first second, the oppressive atmosphere can be felt in every single level segment. What can I say? I just like devastating scenarios!

Fights also go extremely smoothly, you slice your way from one section to the next at a decent pace, equip the mysterious and excitingly written protagonist Khyra with effective abilities and knock out powerful bosses. Simply an all-round successful game that belongs to the best that the genre has to offer. Be sure to play it!
