Hohokum: Eight years after the PlayStation release: now also play on PC

The unexpected often happens: almost eight years after its release on PS3, PS4 and PS Vita, the crazy adventure, puzzle and hidden object game Hohokum (from 12.99€ at buy) now for the PC. And it’s instant: the part is already available on Steam for the slim price of 8.99 euros.

If you have some time, you can quickly browse through Eike’s original test – our hard-to-light northern lights were extremely impressed by Hohokum in 2014. But the title from Honeyslug is also a wild party: As a player, you control a filigree snake creature through a game world that could hardly be more colorful and funny – the levels are a colorful charivari of colors and shapes, organic structures flow into symmetrical patterns – and in between, little people and animals cavort, who not only follow a hustle and bustle, but also want to join the queue of players.

Two-dimensional amusement park of variety

Eike then in the test: “There are atmospheric nights, dark forests, colorful explosions of color and this mysterious, black and white intermediate world in which only a lonely ice cream seller goes about his daily business. The moods of the worlds are also underlined by the grandiose soundtrack, which hits the right note at every moment and often corresponds to my actions.

The PlayStation Store is currently calling for 12.99 euros for Hohokum, so PC players can get away with it even cheaper. Give it a chance – if you like creative screen experiences, you’ll be amazed, because Hohokum is artsy-fartsy in the best sense of the word…
