Battlefield 2042: Short-Term Update 1.2 Coming Tomorrow – Changelog on Steam

It continues with the rescue mission for Battlefield 2042. Since the start of Season 1, at least the short-term approval on Steam has steadily improved – it currently stands at 52 percent. Halfway through the first season, update 1.2 will be rolled out tomorrow at 10 a.m.

Among other things on Steam the changes can now be read – the size of the download has not yet been determined. In addition to the usual bug fixes, balancing changes and usability improvements, there is also a first wave of map revisions that were already announced in spring. Kaleidoscope is being reworked “to improve gameplay flow with new cover options, flag locations, terrain elevation, and visual updates to various locations on the map,” according to DICE.

The style change already shown for the specialists with updated character models will also be implemented. The game will also feature a player profile page and stats page, giving an overview of your performance and progress since launch. Important for Controller Players: Aim assist on controllers has been adjusted to feel “smoother and more consistent” when tracking moving targets. There are also changes to weapons: the RAH-68 Huron and YG-99 Hannibal’s 30mm guns have had their performance reduced due to “much faster overheating”. This limits the impact on infantry and aligns better with the rest of the balancing, according to DICE. The fully automatic mode of the BSV-M also gets a precision trigger and high-power ammunition has a faster damage fall-off at a distance.

EA and DICE would therefore like to inform you about the upcoming update 2.0 in September. Part of the update is, among other things, the revision of the New Beginnings map.
