Electronic Arts has announced details about FIFA 23’s career mode, in which you can also play well-known coaches for the first time.

The looks of several well-known Premier League managers are available for you here, including Jurgen Klopp, Pep Guardiola, Antonio Conte and Thomas Tuchel.

A desired feature

“We received feedback from players who wanted to step into the shoes of their favorite coaches and we’re excited that in FIFA 23 it’s possible to step into the shoes of one of the more than 350 authentic soccer coaches in career mode, with more than 30 of them have star heads,” it says.

You can use these trainers at any club or create your own team. Starting from scratch with Jurgen Klopp in a lower division? No problem.

“Once you have chosen the manager of your choice, you can customize his outfit and decide which club he will be in charge of. You have the option to continue the legacy of an authentic manager at his current club, choose a different club or even choose one found a new club that the coach can lead to fame and glory.”

Other new additions to Career Mode include playable Highlights. Here you play through dynamically generated highlights to influence the outcome of a match without having to complete the full 90 minutes.

“With the playable highlights, we’ve condensed the game into an intense, small-scale experience that allows you to speed through the seasons and focus on the matches you think matter most, without giving up control of the results, you achieve on your way.”


This new option complements the previously existing options in the career.

There are also dynamic moments for bigger events, for example when you end up in the starting XI, as a player you arrive at a new club or as a manager you buy or sell an important player.

FIFA 23 will be released on September 30, 2022 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Google Stadia.
