Star Wars: Dark Forces: Possible hints of a remaster of the classic

The classic shooter Star Wars: Dark Forces could possibly get a remaster.

At least there are a few possible hints that such a project might be in the works at Nightdive Studios.

A preferred candidate

In any case, it shouldn’t come as a surprise, as Nightdives CEO Stephen Kick had already stated several years ago that he would like to do a remaster of the game.

More recently, on July 28 to be precise, Kick had responded to a tweet featuring 25 classic shooters, stating that four had already been remastered and “a few more” were on the way.

Titles listed in the original tweet include Star Wars: Dark Forces. He later tweeted a screenshot of Dark Forces playing on a 4:3 TV.

So it’s still far from official, but it could be a possible indication. Or just coincidence. We will see.
